"Most people have a general idea of how to save and spend their money in ways that bring enjoyment. I am passionate about helping people pinpoint essential financial tools and prepare a plan that becomes useful for accomplishing their goals." -- Jared
Jared Johnson is the Co-Founder & President of Lighthouse Capital Planners. As the Chief Investment Manager and Financial Coach, Jared oversees retirement plan design and manages all in-house investment portfolios. After receiving his B.S. in Business Management and Finance from Utah Valley University, along with his Series 7, 6, 63, & 65 Security licenses, he worked with Bank of America’s investment division, Strategies Financial Group, and Brecek & Young Advisors. In 2008, he joined Moffat Financial Group, which today is Lighthouse Capital Planners. He thoroughly enjoyed working side-by-side with a true financial professional like Clark Moffat. For two years, Jared served as the Philanthropy Committee Chair for the Temecula Chamber of Commerce and is currently an active member of the Temecula Chamber of Commerce.
With over two decades of experience as a Financial Advisor, Jared’s primary focus is working with clients to construct a comprehensive plan that addresses the items most important to them. He seeks to understand what is most significant to them and then tailors financial solutions to best address their needs.
“One of the luxuries of being with a small, flexible, and proactive firm — instead of a large institution — is that I’m able to take a personal and targeted approach with clients as opposed to following a pre-determined formula. This is vital for unique clients who don’t fit a ‘one size fits all’ firm mentality,” Jared states.
On a personal note; Jared is married to Carmen Johnson, and combined, they have six children; five boys, and a daughter, along with a daughter-in-law and two Pugs (to even out the boy/girl ratio). Jared and his family enjoy outdoor activities such as sports, hiking, going to the beach, attending performances and sporting events, and travel. For many years, Jared has been very involved with the Boy Scouts of America, where he helped over 50 young men achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. His leadership won multiple nationally-recognized awards for his Troop. Jared also continues to be active in the community with the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and in providing support to caregivers of cancer patients and has contributed to two books for this purpose.
